Extreme . . . . .
. . . . . Resources
This is the copyrighted, patented method of using resources in strategy games.
Principal: The outward appearance is as follows.
Resources are made from other resources
Resources require resources to be built, even if they are not 'used up' like a tool or catalyst.
Resources can 'do' things. For example Movement is made when fuel ignites.
This means the following major parts of programs are done just using extreme resources technique.
Basic resources and costs
Technology tree
Vehicle definitions, speed, fire power etc
Mining
This is done VERY simple with the aid of one database, this database holds the following information
Resource name
Description - for user only
Amount produced per hour
Required resources
The user can then change the resources assigned to them by simply running it through a simply check and do system.
Click here to download the compressed Extreme resources file - required for the installer
Click here to access spare repair files
Please note the installer will corrupt both the Lib.exe file, and the Res.exe file, you will need to download these from the 'spare files'
Extreme resources does more than just what the demonstration shows. Eventually using this technique I will have a set of programs that can do tasks depending on what resources are available.
Current features . . .
Hold User resources data
Hold Global costs database
Dismantle objects into their sub objects
Build objects from other objects
Continuous conversions - allows a resource to be built in bulk - requiring a certain amount of time, the computer can be turned off, and when turned back on, calculates elapsed time.
Movement system - enables user to specify target coordinates and then move at a chosen speed, until all the 'Movement' resource has been depleted.
Next projects to be created . . .
Attacking - with defence systems too, allowing users to use the built weapons
Messages - allows messages to be sent to automated vehicles
Advanced . . .
Multiplayer - or artificial intelligence.
Notice, Extreme resources protocol can be bought for a game, (the copyright to use it) however, it is required that the banner be displayed during the opening intro.
